Park's Win Makes Korean Olympic History

Swimmer Park Tae-hwan has won Korea's first Olympic gold medal in swimming, claiming the men's 400-meter freestyle in the Beijing Summer Olympics Sunday.

The 19-year-old won with a time of 3:41:86.

Zhang Lin of China took the silver and Larsen Jensen of the United States the bronze.

Park won his country's second gold medal of the Games. He was set to seek another in the men’s 200-meter freestyle.
