A survey finds that Koreans have high expectations for a strong finish by Korea at the Beijing Olympics set to start on Friday.

In a poll Shinhan Card conducted on its Web site from July 14th to Wednesday, 14 percent of the 26-thousand-800 people who participated in the poll forecast Korea to win eleven golds. Thirteen percent said nine golds, followed by ten percent predicting 12 golds.

Sixteen-point-five percent of the polled said Korea will finish ninth overall in medal standings.

The results show most Korean people believe the country can crack the top ten with at least ten golds.
