Korean Athletes Enter Olympic Village

Sixty-five Korean athletes officially entered the Olympic village in Beijing during a Tuesday ceremony. Korea was introduced as the 37th country among participating nations.

Athletes of Grenada and Costa Rica also entered Tuesday.

Lee Elisa, secretary general of the Korea National Training Center, was confident Korea would win eight gold medals with one or two more possible in judo, wrestling or aerobics.

With diminishing prospects of a joint march into the opening ceremony by the two Koreas, Korean Olympic Committee President Lee Yeon-taek expressed regret over North Korea's decision to refuse dialogue due to political reasons.
