1st Commercially Cloned Dog Born

Stem cell research firm RNL Bio says it has successfully cloned dogs for commercial purposes.

The company says it cloned five dogs on a request made by a U.S. client. A Seoul National University team led by Professor Lee Byung-chun confirmed the dogs as having identical genes as the mother.

RNL has asked the same university's law school forensic department for their confirmation as well.

With the success under its belt, the firm says it will begin earnest commercial cloning of dogs worldwide.
