President Lee Myung-bak has sent a message to congratulate golfer Shin Ji-Yai on her winning the Women’s British Open.

Shin is one of the youngest players to win the event, which took place at the Sunningdale Golf Club in Berkshire, England on Monday.

In his message, Lee said the young golfer is the pride of the country. He urged her to continue her efforts to become a great sportswoman and to serve as a good example to younger golfers.
