Local media outlets in Shanghai denounced the Korean TV station SBS for broadcasting a rehearsal of the Beijing Olympics opening ceremony.

The Oriental Morning Post criticized SBS Friday saying they violated journalism ethics, and that the Beijing Olympic organizing committee was greatly disappointed by the broadcast.

The daily also quoted a committee official as saying the Korean station "stole the most exiting moments of the Olympic Games."

Another Shanghai daily also quoted Chinese Internet users as saying that SBS "should be punished for its inappropriate actions."

The footage of the rehearsal was broadcast Tuesday in South Korea before being posted on the Internet.
