Governor Considers 2nd Training Center in Gyeonggi

Gyeonggi Governor Kim Moon-soo says he will consider building a second national training center in the province for athletes who represent Korea abroad.

Visiting the national training center in Taeneung, Seoul Thursday, Kim made the remarks after the center's chief said many are unable to use the current facility because it isn't big enough to hold all the athletes.

The governor said that he is willing to consider providing a three-million square meter site for a new training center in recognition of the influential role sports and athletes play in Korean society.
