Heat Wave Advisories to Include Central Regions

Heat wave advisories and warnings have been expanded to the central and southern regions.

The Korea Meteorological Administration issued heat wave advisories for all parts of Seoul and Gyeonggi Province and some parts of South Chungcheong Province and South Jeolla Province.

The weather agency also upgraded a heat wave advisory for Gwangyang, South Jeolla Province to a heat wave warning.

Afternoon highs will stand at 35 degrees Celsius in Daegu and Changwon, and 33 in Seoul, Daejeon, Chuncheon and Jeonju.

The weather agency forecasts the hot weather will continue until Thursday with temperatures dropping slightly following monsoon rain on Friday.
