NK Team Arrives in S. Korea for World Cup Qualifier

North Korea’s national soccer team has arrived in the nation to play South Korea in a final Asian qualifying match for the 2010 World Cup.

The 20-member North Korean team arrived at the Incheon International Airport late Thursday.

The North Korean players will begin closed-door training from Friday. They'll face the South Korean team Sunday in a bid to secure the top spot in Asia’s Group Three.

The match is the first inter-Korean game recognized by the international soccer governing body FIFA.

Sunday will also be the first time in nearly 18 years for the South and North Korean soccer teams to face off in Seoul.
