The international soccer governing body FIFA has referred to South Korea's national team as a dark horse in the Beijing Olympic Games.

In an article entitled “Favorites and Dark Horses Collide” on its official Web site, FIFA introduced the Korean team along with coach Park Sung-hwa.

Analyzing each team in Group D South Korea, Cameroon, Italy and Honduras FIFA said that although the Korean team is a dark horse, all three other teams will be formidable rivals.
