This summer is forecast to be warm as usual, but precipitation will be lower than in previous years.

The Korea Meteorological Administration released the forecast on Thursday, citing Asian experts on long-term weather forecasting.

The weather agency said the rainy season will begin before the end of June this year. But, it said, the nation will see less rain than in previous years.

At the same time, the nation will also see sultry weather sometimes accompanied by localized torrential rains in some regions.
