Chinese Prof. Wins Award Named After Joseon Scientist

A domestic organization aimed at preserving the memory of a Joseon Dynasty scientist has recognized a Chinese researcher for his efforts to develop organic fertilizer.

The association dedicated to Joseon scientist Jang Young-sil on Friday gave an award to Chinese Professor Jang Ryung-ok for his research into sustainable farming.

Honoring the early 15th century Joseon scientist Jang Young-sil, the award is given annually to an individual who has helped to advance science.
