The 2011 Daegu World Athletics Championships will be held under the slogan “Sprint Together for Tomorrow.”

The organizing committee on Wednesday unveiled the slogan, goals and visions of the global sports event, one year after the city was selected as the host.

As for the event’s visions, the committee selected “dream, passion and challenge.”

A committee official said that the city will make thorough preparations for one of the world’s three major sports events while actively promoting the championships to make the event a festival for citizens.
