More than 10 million people have subscribed to digital multimedia broadcasting.

The Broadcasting and Communications Commission said that as of late last month, 9.69 million people used terrestrial DMB service while 1.31 million chose satellite DMB.

About 36,000 joined the satellite service in February, with some 530,000 handsets for the terrestrial service sold over the same period.

Thus the number of subscribers to the terrestrial service will likely top 10 million late this month or early next month.
