The Korea Institute of Energy Research said Friday that members of the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee visited the institute to exchange views on renewable energy.

According to the institute, the delegation led by committee chairman Jeff Bingaman showed great interest in solar power technologies.

An institute official said that overseas energy officials visit frequently as interest grows in energy problems.
