Figure Skater Kim Wins Bronze in World Championships

The nation's top figure skater Kim Yu-na has won the bronze medal for the second straight year at the world championships.

Kim scored 183-point-23 points overall at the event held Thursday in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Japan's Mao Asada took the gold with a combined score of 185-point-56 points. Italy’s Carolina Kostner came in second after scoring 184-point-68.

The 17-year-old Kim, who had been held back by hip pain earlier, showed her competitive drive in moving from fifth place early in the competition to third.
