The international soccer governing body FIFA will soon announce the host city of a World Cup soccer qualifier between the two Koreas.
Although the match was to be held in Pyongyang on March 26th, disputes over arrangements for the contest led the South's Korea Football Association (KFA) to call for FIFA mediation.
At issue was the North's refusal to let the South display its national flag and play its national anthem at the match.
FIFA officials have discussed the issue with North Korea and will announce their decision on Wednesday at the latest.
At the same time, the South Korean side has not changed its stance that Pyongyang should host the match as planned.
KFA Chairman Chung Mong-joon has reaffirmed his organization's position.
