Korea Wins 13th Regional Men's Handball Match

The men's national handball team has won the 13th Asian Men's Handball Championship.

South Korea defeated Kuwait by a score of 27 to 21 in the final match held in Esfahan, Iran. The latest victory is the nation's seventh.

The South Korean team took the championship back from the Middle Eastern country after an eight-year drought dating back to 2000.

Saudi Arabia came in third, edging Iran by a score of 24 to 23.

As a result, three regional tickets to the world handball championship went to South Korea, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

The international tournament will be held in Croatia next year.
