The nation's top figure skater Kim Yu-na is eyeing the world championship as she recovers from treatment for pain in her hip.

Resuming practice this week, the 17-year-old said in an interview the pain has been significantly reduced. She added that as long as there's no pain, she would compete in the world championship in Sweden.

Kim returned to Korea earlier this month for treatment and will be re-examined Friday.

The decision on whether to join the competition will be based on the exam results, her condition and the opinion of coach Brian Orser.
