The nation's top figure skater Kim Yu-na will have a physical this week to check progress in the treatment of pain in her hip.

The checkup comes with less than a month left before the 2008 World Figure Skating Championships in Sweden.

A representative for the 17-year-old skater said she's been focusing on her rehabilitation and will have a physical on Thursday, adding that her training schedule and her participation in the championships will depend on the results.

Kim has complained of pain in her hip since the end of January. The pain first surfaced during the middle of a training program in Toronto, Canada ahead of the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships.

Kim had to postpone her departure to Sweden because of the pain.
