Centennial Investment, which is set to create Korea's eight professional baseball team by taking over the financially strapped Hyundai Unicorns, said Thursday it will announce a new main sponsor.

Park No-joon, general manager of Centennial's baseball team, told a news conference that the new sponsor is not the company it signed a memorandum of understanding with.

He said that a new sponsorship contract has been delayed due to issues with Hyundai players, adding the team is seeking a Korean company as a main sponsor.
