Equipment and materials to be used in science experiments by the nation's first astronaut will be delivered into space.

The Korea Aerospace Research Institute says seven items designed for experiments in April by the astronaut Ko San will leave the Earth Saturday from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. They will be carried to the International Space Station by the unmanned Russian space freighter, "Progress."

The list includes rice, beans and radish seeds and electrocardiogram equipment.

Ko will travel into space April eighth and conduct 18 different experiments at the space station.
