Four domestically developed technologies for next-generation telecommunication networks have been adopted as international standards.

The Information and Communication Ministry said Tuesday that four related technologies were adopted at a general meeting of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) held in Seoul from January 14th through 25th.

The ministry said the ITU adopted a total of six international standards at the meeting. It also approved 22 others whose adoption will be finalized later next month.
