Seoul Metro says it will introduce information robots at subway stations next year.

The 145-centimeter-tall “Metrobots” will move around subway stations giving passengers audio information on subway lines, exits, fees and service hours.

The camera-equipped robots, which will operate around the clock, reportedly can sense obstacles. It is hoped that their use will also deter crime.
