‘ActiveX’ Installations Considered Spyware Without User Consent

The government has banned the installation of programs using ‘ActiveX’ without the consent of users out of concerns that they can bring damage to web surfers.

The Ministry of Information and Technology made this decision stating it will revise a law related to this issue, so that all provided programs through ‘ActiveX’ that have not received user consent will be considered spyware.

The ‘ActiveX’ controls were created by Microsoft for Internet Explorer users to assist their web surfing experience.
