Jointly developed by Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering, Samsung Heavy Industries and Hyundai Heavy Industries, the carrier boasts the world's largest cargo capacity, best operational efficiency and structural safety. The vessel is also the world's first to have a re-liquefaction system.

Second place went to Hyundai Motor's V6 passenger diesel engine, Korea Aerospace Industries' KT-1 trainer jet and SK Telecom's Micro Projecto.
