KFA to Name Soccer Coach Soon

The Korea Football Association (KFA) has disclosed the names of the two finalists for the position of national soccer team coach.

The association will choose between Gerard Houllier, coach of the French national team, and former Irish football team manager Mick McCarthy.

KFA President Chung Mong-joon said Wednesday a decision will come within two or three days, adding that the association has confirmed the two candidates' views on coaching.

It's the first time the soccer governing body has disclosed the names of candidates for coach of the national team.

Negotiations are reportedly under way, with Houllier said to be the favorite.
