Samsung Electronics Company (SEC) says it will serve as a sponsor for the 2008 Beijing Paralympics.

SEC signed a sponsorship deal with Beijing to provide mobile communications at the sports event.

The company added that it was also planning to donate hearing dogs for the deaf and fund eyesight restoring surgeries for Chinese cataract patients.

Over four thousand athletes from 150 countries are expected to compete in the Beijing Paralympics, slated for September 2008.
