Swimming Star Wins Third-Time Triple-Golds

Korean swimming star Park Tae-hwan has added three more gold medals in the Swimming World Cup held in Berlin, raking in a total of nine wins in three rounds of the international competition.

Park came in first in the 15-hundred-meter freestyle race at 14 minutes 34-point-three-nine seconds, and won the two-hundred-meter race held shortly after, coming in a one-minute 42-point-two-two seconds.

The two golds came after Park’s first-day win in the four-hundred-meter race, making it his third round after the Sydney and Stockholm match to bring in triple-golds.

Park will head back to Korea Tuesday and then leave for Australia to train for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
