Male tennis star Lee Hyung-taik has advanced to the fourth round of the U.S. Open.

The 43rd-ranked player in the world defeated 19th seed Andy Murray of Britain.

Lee has reached the round of 16 for the first time since the 2000 tournament, and will become the first Korean to make the quarterfinals if he beats fourth seed Nikolay Davydenko of Russia.
