Nation’s FIFA Ranking Jumps to 50th

The national soccer team has jumped to 50th place in the world, up eight notches from last month.

The international football governing body FIFA announced the world rankings for men’s soccer on Thursday. The South Korean team earned 613 points in total after gaining 102 points over the past month.

Meanwhile, Japan dropped five places down to 41st, but it remained tops in the Asian region. Iran followed at 44th place and Australia at 49th.
