Korea Professional Soccer League coach Park Sung-hwa, who currently leads the Busan I'cons, has been tapped as coach of the national Olympic soccer team following Pim Verbeek's resignation.

The Korea Football Association says it appointed Park as he had coached key members of the Olympic team in their teens.

Assistant coach Hong Myung-bo and other current staff will likely remain under Park's helm.
