The outgoing coach of the Korean national soccer team said Thursday that Korean soccer has a bright future.

At his farewell luncheon in central Seoul, Pim Verbeek said that he wants to work in a new environment, adding that he has no plan to return to Korea even if he is offered a coaching job for the nation's professional league.

The Dutch national, who recently resigned from his post, is scheduled to leave Korea on Saturday.
