Iraq's Soccer Coach Fields Offers from Korea, Australia

The outgoing coach of the Iraqi soccer team says that the Korea Football Association has offered him the top coaching job for the Korean national team.

Jorvan Vieira, who recently led the Iraqi team to an Asian Cup championship, told Reuters on Tuesday that he was asked to lead the national soccer teams of South Korea and Australia after the Asian Cup final.

The Brazilian nation announced Monday that he was stepping down as Iraq’s coach after his team’s beat Saudi Arabia, saying that he had fulfilled the terms of his contract.
