Visiting Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudoyono on Tuesday received an honorary Taekwondo certificate for his contributions promoting the Korean traditional martial art.

Receiving an honorary certificate for ninth dan --- the highest degree attainable --- the Indonesian president said he will build a Taekwondo training center in his country as part of efforts to promote the martial art in Southeast Asia.

Chungwon Choue, president of the World Taekwondo Federation, said that Rita Subowo, new Indonesian member of the International Olympic Committee, is highly interested in Taekwondo. She is expected to help the globalization of the martial art.
