Korea Football Association President Chung Mong-joon says the national soccer team headed by Pim Verbeek should be scoring more goals in the Asian Cup.

Chung on Wednesday said in an interview that Verbeek is a very experienced and capable coach. He added, however, that simply being capable does not necessarily bring about desired results.

The president said that he will make a decision on the coach after watching the team’s remaining games.

South Korea, determined to take the tournament title for the first time in 47 years, will face Iraq in the semifinals on Wednesday.
