The nation’s southern regions and Jeju Island experienced a tropical night on Tuesday following the end of monsoon season.

A tropical night refers to a night when the temperature stays above 25 degrees Celsius.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said Wednesday that the trend will continue on Wednesday night in the same regions.

The weather agency also forecast the southern region to see afternoon highs of over 30 degrees Celsius and the mercury to hover right around 30 degrees in the central part of the nation.
