Earnest Space Cooperation with Russia

The Science Ministry says that a 'space technology protection accord' with Russia, a prerequisite to bilateral space cooperation, took effect on Tuesday.

The agreement stipulates protection and handling procedures for transfers of stategically sensitive space technologies and commodities.

The two countries put the accord in motion last September to serve as the basic framework for peaceful space cooperation.

The latest protection agreement is expected to further boost the two countries' collaboration in the field.
