Korean Archers to Compete in Beijing Olympics

Korean archers have gained a spot to compete in next year’s Beijing Olympic Games.

Both the Korean men's and women’s teams have advanced to the final "round of 16" in the World Outdoor Archery Championships 2007, currently under way in Leipzig, Germany.

With the recent achievement, the Korean archers will be able to compete in the Beijing Olympics regardless of the results of the remaining championship matches in line with the regulations of the International Archery Federation. The championships, which began earlier this month, will conclude on Sunday.
