The government is preparing to step up efforts to more efficiently manage its genetic resources.

The Rural Development Administration announced Wednesday that it had newly designated eleven organizations to more effectively manage animal and agricultural genetic resources, including Jeju horses.

The organizations will be charged with collecting, preserving and studying such resources.
