K-League Chief Named Member of FIFA Committee

The Korea Professional Football League, or K-League, said Friday that its chairman, Kwak Chung-hwan, has been appointed to the strategic committee for FIFA, world soccer’s supreme governing body.

The K-League said it received a letter from the Asia Football Confederation providing notification that Kwak had been recommended as a FIFA strategic committee member, along with Japan Football Association Chairman Saburo Kawabuchi.

The committee deals with major issues concerning the international soccer community.
