Science and Technology Minister Kim Woo-sik and his Chinese counterpart Wan Gang have agreed to draw up a long-term joint plan to strengthen cooperation in science and technology.

Seoul said Tuesday that the two ministers signed the pact during the ninth joint science and technology committee meeting in Beijing.

Under the pact, the two sides also agreed to expand an existing project to operate joint research centers.
