The Philadelphia Science Center in the northeastern United States will open a branch in the Songdo international new town near Incheon.

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority says it will sign a memorandum of understanding with the center on July 12th.

Incheon officials say that after building an 'Incheon Center' in Songdo, the U.S. research and science park is expected to sign tech transfer and investment deals with Korean firms operating in the Songdo bio cluster.

The Science Center is an organization that supports bioengineering companies with research and development as well as commercialization efforts.
