The 2007 Peace Cup Korea tournament has been recognized by the global soccer governing body FIFA.
The Peace Cup organizing committee says it recently received a letter of approval from FIFA, which followed the show of support by Asian Football Federation President Mohamed Bin Hammam.
The committee says the first and second Peace Cup, as well as a women's tournament known as the Peace Queen Cup, will all be held with FIFA's approval.
The 2007 Peace Cup Korea will open July 12th at the Seoul World Cup stadium, continuing over ten days at seven stadiums nationwide. The opening match will be between the K-League team Ilwa from Seongnam city and the English Premier League's Bolton.
