Lee Sedol Wins Asian Baduk Championship

Prominent Korean baduk player Lee Sedol has won the 19th Asian TV Cup, defeating Chinese and Japanese rivals in the boardgame also known as "Go."

Lee started out on the defensive but turned the tide around the 90th move, walking away with a win at the 217th in the final round held Thursday in Tokyo.

During the semifinals in the four-day competition, the 24-year-old also defeated last year's champion from China.

Korea has retaken the title for the first time in five years following Lee Chang-ho's win in 2002.
