Soccer Tourney to Open July 12

Korean soccer club Seongnam Ilhwa will face the Bolton Wanderers of England in the opening match of the Peace Cup Korea 2007. The match will be held at the World Cup Stadium in Seoul on July 12th.

The champion of the domestic K-League is in Group A along with the Bolton Wanderers of England, Chivas de Guadalajara of Mexico and Udinese of Italy.

Group B includes Reading FC of England, Lyon of France, River Plate of Argentina and Shimizu S-Pulse of Japan.

The international soccer tournament, held once every two years, will feature seven major clubs representing Europe, South America and Asia, who will compete with the Korean team.

The third edition of the peace cup tourney will run July 12th to 21st in seven Korean cities, including Seoul and Suwon.
