Korean slugger Lee Seung-yeop of Japan’s Yomiuri Giants has been named a candidate to represent the Central League at first base in this year’s Japanese All-Star Series.

Lee has played in the series at the recommendation of his team manager for two years in a row.

A fan vote to choose players for the all-star rosters will run from Friday through June 24th. The voting results will be announced on July second.

The first all-star game will take place in the Tokyo Dome on July 20th. The second is slated for July 21st at the Full Cast Stadium Miyagi in Sendai.
