Samsung Electronics Company said Wednesday it has developed a memory card offering the world's largest storage space for mobile phones.

The new Micro SD - or secure digital - cards are one-fourth the size of normal SD cards and can be used in mobile phones to store MP3 music files, photos and videos.

The world’s largest memory chipmaker said that its eight-gigabyte micro SD card can store up to two-thousand MP3 music files, four-thousand photographs or five DVD-quality movie files.
