Golfer Jeon Mi-jeong Garners Three Straight Wins

Golfer Jeon Mi-jeong on Sunday won her third straight tournament in Japan, extending her winning streak in that country to a third week.

Jeon claimed the trophy on the final day of the Vernal Ladies Championship, finishing out the final six holes by defeating Japanese rival Yuri Fudoh in Fukuoka.

The Korean golfer's latest victory follows two wins at the Yashima Queens event and the Salonpas World Ladies tournament in the last two weeks.

Jeon became the first player to win trophies for a third straight week on the Japanese female golf circuit.

She is said to have renewed her determination to win the event after watching the father of Japanese player Sakura Yokomine say on TV that it would be impossible for Jeon to win three in a row.
