24 Nations to Play in FIFA Youth World Cup

The list of 24 teams participating in this year's under-17 FIFA youth soccer World Cup has been finalized.

Five teams will participate from Asia - host country South Korea, Japan, North Korea, Syria and Tajikistan. Europe will also send five teams: Spain, England, Belgium, France and Germany. They will be joined by four teams from Africa: Nigeria, Ghana, Togo and Tunisia.

The Americas will be represented by five teams from North America and Central America: the United States, Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago, Honduras and Haiti. South America will send four teams as well: Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Peru.

Oceania's lone representative will be New Zealand.

Tournament groups will be determined at a drawing in Seoul next Thursday. Matches will be held from August to September in eight cities across the nation.
